Something Blue and Geo - Wedding Styled Photo Shoot

I just love creating a styled photo shoot! It's a time when I can let my creative nerd flag fly and I really enjoy geeking out on all the fun details. As with any of my wedding or events it starts with articulating the inspiration and honing in on what it means, what is the feeling and mood, what is the color scheme, what are adjectives that describe the inspiration. For this styled shoot those adjectives were: geometric, a little modern with light and airy defined lines while also romantic and soft with layers of patterns accented with reflective and metallic surfaces. Shades of blue and teal with white and contrasted with copper and gold. I created inspiration boards to reflect the mood and worked closely with Kimberly of Flowerchild to define the overall design and collaborated with an amazing group of talented vendors to bring all the pieces together. And Sadi, of Whimsie Photo, did an amazing job of capturing it all in the most romantic way! She has such a talented way of seeing things and capturing the beauty and the light! The Hilton San Diego was the perfect backdrop for this shoot with the perfect combination of greenery and natural bay views! Please enjoy! Some of my favorite details:

Some of my favorite details:

The stunning gold hexagon ceremony arch by Enticing Tables was completed the night before the shoot. Delicate hanging geometric shapes and floral accents softened the arch and add detail.

The escort cards were a favorite project and started with gray hexagon tiles that I painted in different shades of blue and gold paint around the edge. The look was completed with beautiful hand painted calligraphy by Olivia of Handcrafted Occasions with a marble like blue and gold canvas painting as a backdrop.

The gown from The Dress Theory could not have been more perfect with amazing lace detailing and a soft flowy skirt completed with an ombre ivory to blue floor length veil.

The reception table came together nicely with layers of pattern, reflective glass and copper details, geometric accents, table number and bride and groom chair signs. So much prettiness in one place! And how awesome are the chairs? Rose gold with white leather, what's not to love?

The cake and dessert table is such a special feature with a metal hexagon hanging shelf with floating cupcakes and flowers and delicate blue and metallic cookies. The cake by Cute Cakes is a brilliant fit!
